Former Orlando City striker Cyle Larin closed out his first season with Besiktas with a hat trick against Sivasspor in the Turkish Super League in May and he opened the 2018 campaign with three more goals in a 6-0 rout of B36 Torshavn of the Faroe Islands in a Europa League qualifier on Thursday.
Besiktas, which won the opening leg 2-0, advanced to the third qualifying round 8-0 on aggregate.
The 23-year-old opened his account in the 31st minute, pulling Jeremain Lensā backheel from his feet to fire past the drawn-out goalkeeper from 11 yards out.
The Canadian international followed with his second in the 61st minute, latching onto a Caner Erkin cross by the corner flag and powerfully headed between a pair of defenders to increase Besiktasā lead to 3-0.
With Besiktas comfortably up 4-0, Larin completed his hat trick in the 79th minute, tapping Gokhan Toreās cross inside the far post from just inside the six-yard box.
