It took a couple of tries, but Didier Drogba got the best of his old friend Petr Cech.
The Montreal Impact striker brought the MLS All-Stars level just before halftime, scoring on his old Chelsea teammate to make it 1-1 in the second minute of stoppage time.
New York Red Bulls midfielder Sacha Kljestan started the play, intercepting an Arsenal pass and finding Giovani dos Santos in the left side of the area. The LA Galaxy attacker quickly squared a ball to Drogba, who had his first shot denied by Cech and had a second attempt cleared by an Arsenal defender before finally finding the bottom right corner of the net with his third effort.
The goal was Drogba’s 16th in 17 career matches against Arsenal. Check it out above.
