Following the recent decision by FIFA and Concacaf to push FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifying to March 2021, the confederation has announced that the Concacaf Nations League semifinals and final, previously scheduled for March 2021, will now take place in June 2021 at a centralized location in the United States.
The four winners of the League A groups — Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico and USA — qualified for the semifinals, which were originally scheduled for June 2020 but had to be suspended due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
When play resumes, the US men's national team will play Honduras and Mexico will face Costa Rica. The winners of those semifinals will meet in a final, while the losers will contest a third-place match.
Concacaf remains in discussions with FIFA to settle on a new schedule for Concacaf World Cup qualifying in its current three-round format.
