Federico Higuain made history on Saturday in Columbus Crew SC's3-1 win over D.C. United, becoming the 19th player in MLS history to notch at least 50 goals and 50 assists in regular season play.
Higuain, who hit 50 goals on March 10, crossed the 50-assist threshold in his MLS career in the 40th minute against D.C. United, hitting the corner kick that was headed in by Ricardo Clark (watch above). Higuain then added another assist just two minutes later to take him to 51 all-time.
The only other currently active player in the 50-50 club at present is another Argentine, Portland Timbers midfielder Diego Valeri.
