Steve Clark may have been up for the Save of the Week award along with three other nominees, but he was only really competing with himself.
The Columbus Crew goalkeeper finished in first and second place in the Week 29 Save of the Week race with two sensational stops during the Columbus Crew's 2-0 triumph over the Montreal Impact. The award-winning block that earned almost 39 percent of the vote came in stoppage time of that match when the veteran netminder preserved the shutout with a gorgeous left-handed stop on Marco Di Vaio's penalty kick attempt.
The Clark parry that came in second place was his acrobatic denial of a Calum Mallace laser in the 61st minute. It earned nearly 25 percent of the vote.
