Gabriel Farfan is following in his twin brother's footsteps and heading down south to Mexico.
Chivas USA announced on Monday that they have sent Farfan on a six-month loan to Chiapas FC. The loan to the sixth-place Liga MX club comes with an option to buy, but no other terms and details were disclosed as per MLS and Chivas USA policy.

A native of San Diego, Farfan joined the Goats last May via a trade from the Philadelphia Union. The 25-year-old midfielder made 10 starts in 14 appearances for Chivas USA and three in six for the Union in 2013, his third season since coming out of Cal State Fullerton.
Earlier this offseason, Farfan's brother, Michael, was bought by Liga MX outfit Cruz Azul after three years in MLS.
