Chicago Fire midfielder Przemyslaw Frankowski is the latest MLS player to receive his U.S. green card, the club announced Tuesday.
Frankowski's new status as a permanent resident of the country also allows the Fire to treat him as a domestic player. As a result, the move also frees up an international spot for the Fire, bringing the number of international players on their roster to 11.
The Poland native joined Chicago in January 2019. In 50 games in his first two seasons with the club, Frankowski has scored eight goals and recorded 10 assists. He also has 10 caps for the Polish national team after making his debut in 2018.
