Chicago Fire Homegrown goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina has been called into the US U-15 boys' national team for the Torneo delle Nazioni in Italy.
Slonina, 14, signed his contract in March, becoming the Fire's youngest ever signing and the league's second-youngest, behind only Freddy Adu. He was called into the US U-15's first camp of 2019 earlier this year. He has featured for the Fire's academy at the U-14, U-15 and U-17 levels.
Joining him on the roster are five players who recently featured in 2019 Generation adidas Cup. The three players played in the Under-15 MLS-Liga MX Challenge, which MLS won. The five players are John Carlos Cortez (New York Red Bulls), Brandan Craig (Philadelphia Union), Kenan Hot (New York Red Bulls), Antonio Leone (LAFC) and Evan Rotundo, who was a guest player on LAFC for the tournament.
