After months of speculation, US international Matt Miazga knows where he'll be playing for the 2016-17 season.
His club, English Premier League giants Chelsea, announced on Wednesday Miazga will go on loan to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem for the season.
Miazga, a former Homegrown defender with the New York Red Bulls, transferred to Chelsea in January and made two Premier League appearances for the Blues last season. But with Chelsea now with a new head coach in charge in Antonio Conte, it did not appear the American would see playing time in London in the immediate future.
Vitesse is a familiar loan destination for Chelsea players, with the clubs having developed a partnership over the past several years. Finishing in ninth place last season in the Eredivisie, the club has not been a traditional powerhouse in the Netherlands, but they have been involved in Europa League qualifying several times over the past decade.
