Charlie Davies shares emotional memories ahead of re-air of 2010 World Cup Qualifying classic vs. Costa Rica

The US men's national team's 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match against Costa Rica was part of a harrowing five-day span for the team, within which the US experienced the high of qualifying for the World Cup before the devastating low of the news that teammate Charlie Davies endured life-threatening injuries in a car accident.


The following day, the USMNT took on Costa Rica in an emotional match at RFK Stadium. Davies, who recovered from the accident to continue his professional career but missed the 2010 World Cup, will be watching the game for the first time when U.S. Soccer re-airs that game on Tuesday at 8 pm ET (YouTubeFacebook and USsoccer.com). The broadcast will begin with a pregame chat between USMNT alums Jonathan Bornstein and Stuart Holden, both of whom featured in that game, as well as ESPN Soccer analyst Adrian Healey starting at 7:30 pm ET.
