Canada announced their U-23 roster ahead of this month's Concacaf Men's Olympic Qualifying competition on Wednesday, naming a squad of 20 full of MLS talent.
Eleven MLS players made the cut, including five from the Vancouver Whitecaps and four from CF Montréal. The New England Revolution's Tajon Buchanan also made the cut after a season where he broke into his club's lineup.
Canada is aiming to qualify for the Olympics for the first time. The team is set to face El Salvador, Haiti, and Honduras in the group stage of the Concacaf qualifying tournament. The competition begins on March 18, with two countries going on to qualify for Tokyo.
