Bullseye: FC Dallas' Maxi Urruti shows off his archery skills

After every goal he scores, FC Dallas striker Maxi Urruti lines up an imaginary bow and pantomimes shooting an arrow into the stands.

Now, he’s got experience with the real thing.

The Argentine attacker recently made a trip to the Texas Archery Academy in suburban Dallas for a shooting lesson from USA Archery Level 2 instructor – and big FC Dallas fan – Paul Durham. Despite never having before shot a bow and arrow, Urruti quickly got the hang of things, hitting bullseyes and popping balloons with the precision of a top striker.

FC Dallas brought along a camera crew for Urruti’s archery escapade, filming a segment during his session for the club’s Extra Time internet series. You can check out the piece above.

Urruti, who has eight goals and four assists in 26 regular season appearances for first-place FCD and scored a pair of goals in the club’s win in the US Open Cup final, and Dallas will return to action on Saturday at Real Salt Lake (9:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE).
