Brenden Aaronson greeted by Jesse Marsch as he arrives at Red Bull Salzburg

Brenden Aaronson - Jesse Marsch - Red Bull Salzburg

Brenden Aaronson has arrived in his new home, as the transferred Philadelphia Union prodigy officially touched down in Austria on Sunday, where he's set to join Red Bull Salzburg.

Aaronson's arrival was documented on RB Salzburg's official club website, where they revealed a picture of Aaronson with his new head coach, former New York Red Bulls boss Jesse Marsch, and posted a Q&A interview with their new acquisition.

Aaronson arrives at Salzburg as a big-money transfer that was finalized back in October as he navigated his way through his breakout campaign with the Union. The 20-year-old scored four goals and dished out seven assists in 23 games, while acting as the engine on both sides of the ball for a Philadelphia side that would go onto to win the Supporters' Shield.

In the interview, Aaronson discusses his initial impressions of the club and city, and also revealed that Marsch greeted him at the airport and gave him a tour of the training center and home stadium.

Now that he's arrived, how the Aaronson-Marsch duo fares in their first season together overseas will be a fun sublot to keep tabs on in 2021.
