Philadelphia Union midfielder Borek Dockal finished the 2018 MLS regular season as MLS assist leader with 18, beating out D.C. United attacker Luciano Acosta on Decision Day presented by AT&T.
The 30-year-old tallied a final assist on Sunday in the regular season finale, setting up Cory Burke's goal in a 3-1 loss to NYCFC at Yankee Stadium.
Dockal joined the Union from Chinese side Henan Jianye on loan shortly before the 2018 season began. The Czech Republic captain helped lead the Union to the playoffs for the third time in club history. The 30-year-old also pitched in with five goals on the season for Philadelphia, and had five separate games this year with two assists.
