What does Kaká want to do next year?
In a revealing interview with Globo Esporte, the Orlando City SC midfielder laid out three possibilities which he’s exploring: re-signing with Orlando, returning to his native Brazil to play for Sao Paulo, or hanging up his boots.
If the Brazilian — who has reportedly been in talks with Orlando to return when his contract expires at the end of the season — chooses the latter and ends his legendary playing career, he said he’s excited to potentially follow in the path of Zinedine Zidane and become a coach.
The 35-year-old also said in the interview that playing hasn’t been as much fun for him because he feels a lot of pain after games.
Kaká, who has six goals and five assists in 1,374 minutes this year, is finishing his third season in Orlando. The Lions have yet to make the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs since joining the league in 2015 and have been eliminated from postseason contention heading into their final two games of 2017, starting with their home finale vs. Columbus on Sunday (5 pm ET, MLS LIVE).
