Bingham says LA Galaxy are feeling pressure to "return to Galaxy ways"

Following the LA Galaxy's 2-0 road win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Friday night, goalkeeper David Bingham asserted that he and his teammates are under the most pressure of any team in MLS.

"We have the most pressure of any team in the league," he stated. "Take New York, Atlanta, any of these teams, we have far more pressure on us than any of these teams."

The Galaxy, who lead all MLS teams with five championships, missed the playoffs the last two seasons. According to Bingham, last year's seventh-in-the-West finish has sparked a sense of urgency across the entire organization.

"At the end of the year, the front office, the big guys, came in and told us it wasn't good enough and changes were going to be made, and they did that," he said. "We know as players, when we put on the LA shirt, you better win, and you don't win, they're going to ship you out of here. This year, we've been busting our butts. We need to turn it around and get back to Galaxy ways."

Bingham certainly did his part on Friday, with his clean sheet including a stop on a penalty kick in the second minute of the match against the 'Caps' Ali Adnan — albeit one of the easiest penalty saves Bingham will ever make.
