Michael Parkhurst... the fullback? Injuries might force it to happen for Atlanta United.
With Mikey Ambrose, George Bello and Kevin Kratz out for this Saturday's game against the New England Revolution (7:30 pm ET | MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, DAZN in Canada), Parkhurst has taken reps at fullback, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Doug Roberson.
Throughout Parkhurst's long career, the 35-year-old has made 65 MLS starts at right back, though none since 2014. The central defender has made three starts so far this season and has started at least 32 games every year since returning to MLS in 2014.
Bello could return next week, head coach Frank de Boer said, while Franco Escobar will be available this weekend.
