TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Report
Update:June 22, 11:30 am ET
Atlanta United club president Darren Eales pumped the brakes on the original report, stating Monday during a conference call that they've received no contact from other clubs about an Ezequiel Barco transfer. Rather, as Eales floated, such reports are a byproduct of COVID-19's impact.
"Because there's not really a lot going on at the moment, we're going to have, I think, the most silliest of seasons," Eales said. "But the reality, as you know, is Ezequiel is a quality player. He's under a long-term contract with Atlanta United and we've had no clubs reach out to us at the moment in terms of him."

Atlanta United attacker Ezequiel Barco revealed his representation has had contact with a few potential European suitors, including Serie A regulars Fiorentina, in a broadcast interview with TNT Sports of his native Argentina.
“I know that from Fiorentina, they contacted my agent," Barco said. "Also some clubs from France. It’s true that Fiorentina would be a nice possibility, yes. But now I don’t know what is going to happen with everything with this pandemic.”
The 21-year-old former youth international for La Albiceleste scored in each of his first two league matches this season for Atlanta and also had an assist before the coronavirus pandemic brought play to a halt.
After arriving in Atlanta as one of the most-prized young transfers in league history, he is set to resume his third MLS season next month. His second season included several interruptions, both from injury and representing Argentina at the U-20 FIFA World Cup.
