2018 MLS Cup kicked off on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium between Atlanta United and the Portland Timbers, and the pregame festivities were full of spectacle.
Of course, MLS Cup tifo are a tradition, and supporters of both teams did their part.
The home side Atlanta, in a nod to their train motifs in the club's culture, went with an ATLUTD freight engine with an "MLS 3.0" message bearing down, with the memorable red, black, gold and silver foil shaking in the background in a partial MLS Cup trophy pattern.
The Timbers, meanwhile, apparently due to their road exploits, unveiled a banner in their section that said "We're gonna take over the world" with a modified Timbers crest crushing other MLS crests below it.
