It’s official: Ambroise Oyongo has signed with Ligue 1 club Montpellier.
Oyongo, 26, spent the last three years with the Montreal Impact but announced following the season that he would not return to the club. He’d been linked with Montpellier for a couple of months before officially signing on Tuesday.
He spent the last three seasons with Montreal, recording 60 regular season appearances for the club before a knee injury ended his 2017 season in June. He played two seasons for the New York Red Bulls before joining Montreal, and tallied two goals and nine assists in 73 career MLS regular season appearances.
