Former MLS wunderkinds Alphonso Davies and Tyler Adams were both on the 18-man roster for their respective Bundesliga sides as the division returned from winter break, but neither saw match action.
Davies, a Vancouver Whitecaps product, watched on Friday as his new Bayern Munich teammates jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead and eventually completed a 3-1 victory at TSG Hoffenheim.
Meanwhile, the recently departed New York Red Bulls destroyer Adams couldn't help as his RB Leipzig teammates conceded early Saturday en route to a 1-0 home loss to league leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Adams' US national team colleague Christian Pulisic came on as a second half sub for Dortmund.
