Former Vancouver Whitecaps phenom Alphonso Davies has his first Bundesliga goal for Bayern Munich.
With the game already well in hand, Davies entered in the 59th minute against Mainz Sunday and then scored his club's final goal 11 minutes later, pouncing on the rebound opportunity in Bayern's 6-0 rout.
Davies has now appeared in five league matches for the defending German league champions. This was by far his longest shift, having only seen 25 minutes prior in late cameos. He has also played one full match for Bayern's reserves.
Vancouver sold Davies to Bayern last summer for a then-MLS record fee of up to $22 million, with Davies departing the Whitecaps following the season.
