The Philadelphia Union have made a big Homegrown push on the field this year and are now looking to find some talented young gamers, too.
On Tuesday, the Union announced a FIFA 19 competition for local college students to earn a spot on the club's roster of gamers.
The competition will take place Oct. 27 at Dave & Buster's on Penn’s Landing and will be livestreamed via Twitch. Participants must be college students within 75 miles of the Greater Philadelphia area and age 16 years or older. Registration is free.
Back in April, Philadelphia's eMLS gamer, Doolsta, made it all the way to the Eastern Conference semifinals at the inaugural eMLS Cup at PAX East in Boston.
