Nashville SC came out on top in a best of three eMLS matchup with Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, taking home a 6-2 victory in the first match and a 3-1 result in the second.
Controlled by Nashville's eMLS representative Cormac Dooley, who was playing against Columbus' Graham Ellix, Nashville bagged the commanding four-goal victory in the first match, paced by a hat trick from Dominique Badji.
The dominance continued in the second match, as Dooley struck for three more goals to complete the sweep.
It was the second eMLS fixture of Saturday's slate, coming off a 4-1 aggregate triumph for NYFC's Chris Holly over the Vancouver Whitecaps' Alex Exraa. The action continues with a showdown between Minnesota United and the Montreal Impact and concludes with a bout between Sporting Kansas City and the San Jose Earthquakes.
