MLS' EA Sports FIFA League will be adding new teams in the 2021 season, with Inter Miami and St. Louis City SC joining the league and bringing the total number of players up to 27.
St. Louis is scouting eMLS players within a 125-mile radius of their under construction stadium, and will have scouting tournaments next month in search of the team's first eMLS player. The club will making its eMLS debut two years before its scheduled MLS debut in 2023.
Miami, meanwhile, come to eMLS in a more traditional way, having already begun play in MLS. The eMLS team will begin play just one year after Miami became one of MLS' latest expansion teams in 2020, and remain in contention for a playoff spot in their inaugural season.
