If it weren’t for the COVID-19 pandemic, D.C. United would have been facing Nashville SC at Nissan Stadium on Saturday night for the first time. That was put on hold, at least in person, with the 2020 MLS season currently suspended.
Instead, the clubs’ eMLS players met Friday night and gave a glimpse into how the matchup between an MLS original and expansion side could’ve gone. Cormac “Doolsta” Dooley represented Nashville and Mohamed “KingCJ0” Alioune Diop represented D.C. United, as they played a two-legged series on FIFA 20.
There were goals galore when they battled to a 6-6 draw on aggregate across both matches. You can check out the full stream below.
The first leg was a 3-1 win for Doolsta, one where winger David Accam was certainly up to the task.
But the second leg was nearly all KingCJ0’s, as he earned a late aggregate draw when scoring with old school Ronaldo for the 5-3 win.
